Not sure which to pick? Click the Apple menu in the top-left corner and choose About This Mac. Choose Apple Silicon if you see M1, M2, M3, M4, or M5. Choose Intel otherwise.

Apple Silicon

For Macs with M1, M2, M3, M4, or M5 chips.

First-launch SmartScreen warning

Windows may show a "Windows protected your PC" dialog the first time you run the installer. This appears on newly released apps even when correctly signed, because Microsoft builds publisher reputation over time.

Click More info, then Run anyway. The publisher will be shown as "Alpha Boffin Inc". The warning fades as more users install each release.

Linux

For Ubuntu, Debian, Mint, and similar distributions.

Installing the .deb

Double-click the downloaded file to install via your distribution's Software Center, or run this in a terminal from the download folder:

sudo apt install ./alphaboffin-*.deb

Launch Alpha Boffin from your applications menu after installation. Updates are delivered automatically.
